I was a vendor at Andersonville Midsommarfest this past weekend selling my custom Chicago themed apparel and can't believe I never participated in this event before. I sold a lot of my designs and received so many positive compliments. I can't describe how good it makes me feel when I hear comments like, "I think you have the best designs here." I don't take this kindness for granted and really appreciate the support.
This neighborhood has such a strong appreciation for artists and I enjoyed answering questions about the meaning behind my work and what inspired me to create it, which is not something I'm asked about in other neighborhood festivals.
I could really feel the love for my work here and definitely want to make plans to come back next year.
